Job summary

Bus Éireann seeks an Executive Engineer – Fleet Systems Projects to lead fleet systems delivery, governance and strategic vehicle technology deployments. The role reports to the Senior Technical Manager within the Engineering and Critical Infrastructure Department in Bus Éireann.

You will coordinate with internal teams, suppliers and manufacturers to deliver safe, reliable and efficient fleet operations, maintain engineering records and support cost-effective solutions across Ireland.

Qualifications

• NFQ Level 8 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• NFQ Level 7 with relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery and technical governance of fleet systems and engineering projects.
• Support fleet performance through monitoring reliability, maintenance effectiveness and compliance.
• Act as engineering liaison between maintenance teams, suppliers, manufacturers, and corporate functions.
• Ensure governance, safety and regulatory compliance for fleet engineering activities.
• Drive engineering improvements, system enhancements and standardisation across the fleet.
