Job summary

3D Personnel in County Donegal is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function, report to senior leadership and drive strategic decisions.

This on-site role covers monthly accounts, budgeting, cash flow management, compliance, and building a high-performing finance team in a fast-paced commercial environment, commutable from Letterkenny.

The ideal candidate will hold ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent and bring 10+ years in Financial Controller or senior accounting roles.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• 10+ years' experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or Senior Management Accounting role.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence decision-making.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly management accounts.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to support business decisions.
• Manage cash flow and working capital requirements.
• Ensure all tax and statutory compliance obligations are met.
• Overseeing and developing the internal finance team.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements across the finance function.
• Supporting business growth initiatives and commercial projects.
• Liaising with auditors, banks, and external advisors.
• Maintaining robust financial controls and governance procedures.
• Providing financial analysis and performance reporting to senior management.
• Undertaking additional ad hoc projects and duties as required.
