Job summary

Le Meas Executive Search partnered with an international Insurance and Reinsurance Group to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant for its Dublin-based finance function on a permanent basis. This role offers a broad remit across financial reporting and regulatory returns, including accurate monthly, quarterly and annual statements and close collaboration with auditors.

You will work across Irish/UK GAAP and US GAAP with IFRS familiarity and Solvency II exposure; strong Excel, SAP and frontline

Qualifications

• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA) with post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting within tight deadlines.
• Prepare legal entity financial statements and support external audits.
• Work across Irish/UK GAAP and US GAAP; have IFRS familiarity.
• Contribute to regulatory reporting, including Solvency II and Solvency UK templates.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve queries and deliver accurate financial information.

This is an opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a broad remit spanning financial reporting and regulatory returns.

The role

You’ll bring accuracy, strong technical judgement and a proactive approach to reporting and financial delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting within tight deadlines.
• Preparing legal entity financial statements and supporting the external audit process.
• Working across Irish/UK GAAP and US GAAP, with familiarity with IFRS.
• Contributing to regulatory reporting, including Solvency II and Solvency UK quantitative reporting templates.
• Working with stakeholders across the organisation to resolve queries and deliver accurate financial information.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) and at least two years’ post-qualification experience, ideally from within an insurance audit or reporting environment.
• Experience preparing legal entity financial statements and supporting audits.
• Knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP and US GAAP, alongside familiarity with IFRS.
• Exposure to Solvency II, Solvency UK or equivalent regulatory reporting, including quantitative reporting templates.
• Strong Excel skills; knowledge of SAP and front-end financial systems would be an advantage.
• Sharp attention to detail, strong analytical skills and the confidence to communicate across all levels.
