Job summary

Apex Group, a leading global fund administration and financial services provider, seeks an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join the Irish Finance team. The role focuses on delivering accurate financial reporting, solid balance sheet control and meaningful monthly analysis for two key businesses in the region.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified (or near‑qualified) accountant, comfortable in a fast‑paced, international environment, and able to work closely with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified or near‑qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong experience in financial accounting and month‑end reporting within a corporate or professional services environment.
• Solid understanding of accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue and balance sheet management.
• Experience preparing management accounts and explaining financial performance to non‑finance stakeholders.
• High level of attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across the business.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a changing environment and prioritise effectively.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely month‑end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and revenue entries.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts with robust supporting documentation.
• Ensure costs and revenues are recorded in line with standards, budgets and prior periods.
• Produce monthly management reporting with variance and performance commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to support timely payments and collections.
• Lead year‑end and interim audits and liaise with external auditors.
