Job summary

Elevate Partners in Dublin is seeking a finance leader to build and run the Portfolio Reporting & Analysis function. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will own management and investor reporting end-to-end, lead a small team, and partner with Asset Management, Construction & Development, and Investments to drive forward-looking insights.

You will challenge complex models, translate outputs into clear business stories, and implement automation to streamline reporting processes.

Job description

We are working with a long-established Dublin investment and asset manager in the European energy transition sector. The firm manages several institutional private funds, with over €1.2bn of equity raised across wind, solar, bioenergy and energy storage assets in seven European countries.

The role

As the portfolio grows, the business is building out its Portfolio Reporting & Analysis function. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will lead that function. You will own management and investor reporting from start to finish, lead a small team, and act as a commercial partner to the Asset Management, Construction & Development and Investments teams.

The business wants a finance leader who can challenge complex models, turn the outputs into a clear financial story for senior management, and improve how the function runs.

Key responsibilities

• Own management and stakeholder reporting from start to finish. This includes the Monthly Business Review, the Quarterly Investor Report, lender reporting and investor queries, with a strong focus on forward-looking insight.
• Lead and develop the Portfolio Reporting & Analysis team. Set priorities, manage capacity around reporting and valuation deadlines, coach the team and build their capability.
• Financial analysis and decision support. Analyse returns, cash flows, distributions and risk across funds and underlying assets. Lead annual asset budgets, forecasts and scenario analysis.
• Investment valuations. Oversee the quarterly valuation models and manage the review and approval process with senior management, the valuations committee and the AIFM.
• Present to senior management and turn complex analysis into clear conclusions and recommendations.
• Systems and continuous improvement. Standardise models and controls, and build a common portfolio data and reporting layer. Use automation, BI tools, APIs and AI to cut manual work.

What you’ll bring

• A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with a strong background in FP&A, commercial finance, financial reporting or portfolio finance
• Proven end-to-end ownership of management reporting. You will have run the full reporting cycle, not only contributed to it.
• At least 3 years of direct people management, with clear examples of leading, developing and getting results through a team
• Hands-on financial modelling experience, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and assess outputs across more than one model or portfolio
• A track record of improving reporting, systems, data or finance processes
• Strong commercial judgement and the presence to communicate clearly with senior stakeholders
• Experience in renewables, infrastructure, investment management or another asset-intensive sector is an advantage. NetSuite, automation or AI experience is a plus.
