Job summary

Waterford City and County Council is seeking to fill the post of Senior Executive Quantity Surveyor, a full-time position assigned to the Housing Department in Waterford City. The role leads financial management, procurement, contract administration and project management of a varied housing portfolio including new-build social housing and retrofitting existing stock.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying under Building Control Act 2007.
• Eligibility to register as a Quantity Surveyor under Building Control Act 2007.
• At least seven years of relevant experience in quantity surveying.
• High standard of technical training.
• High standard of administrative and management experience.
• Satisfactory knowledge of public service organisation or ability to acquire such knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial management, procurement, contract administration and project management of a diverse works portfolio for social housing projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget in compliance with public procurement and housing guidelines.
• Report to Senior Architect and support multi-disciplinary housing delivery team.
