Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead tenders for a major main contractor from our Dublin office. You will oversee the tender lifecycle, coordinate with internal and external teams, and drive submission quality across multi-sector projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years as an estimator with a main building contractor, with proven Ireland-based experience, and a willingness to work in a hybrid setting. Salary circa €110k–€120k DOE, with pension and benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience estimating for a main building contractor or similar.
• Must have experience working in Ireland.
• Hybrid working open to discussion.

Responsibilities

• Manage the tender from receipt, through to submission and post tender queries.
• Liaise with and manage the internal and external tender team
• Mark up enquiries to be sent out to the supply chain, organise Bills Of Quantities production and obtain material quotes where necessary
• Evaluate returned quotations from supply chain and liaise with supply chain member to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements
• Prepare and evaluate risk and opportunity
• Arrange and prepare commercial documents for Tender Handover meetings
• Review supply chain performance quarterly
• Attend pre-qualification, mid tender and post tender interviews
• Visit sites to obtain feedback
• Prepare cost plans, feasibility studies and liaise with Clients

Job description

Senior Estimator required for a leading Main Contractor to work out of their Dublin office. The successful Senior Estimator will be responsible for a range of projects across various sectors. The ideal candidate will have 10 years' experience estimating with a main building contractor in Ireland or the UK, with a strong preference for local market experience.
