Global Professional Consultants Ireland is seeking an experienced Estimator for their Cork office. The successful candidate will manage tenders across various projects, including high-rise residential and commercial sectors.

The role requires a construction-related degree and at least 6 years of experience with a Main Building contractor, preferably in Ireland. The salary ranges from €80,000 to €90,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 6 years’ experience with a Main Building contractor in Ireland or the UK.
• Experience working as an estimator for a main building contractor.
• Must have local market experience in Ireland.

• Manage the tender from receipt to submission and post tender queries.
• Liaise with the internal and external tender team.
• Prepare and evaluate risk and opportunity.
• Prepare cost plans and feasibility studies, liaising with Clients.

Estimator

Estimator required for a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor to work out of our client’s Cork office. The successful Estimator will be responsible for a range of projects across various sectors including both high rise residential and commercial. The ideal candidate will have 6 years’ experience with a Main Building contractor in either Ireland or the UK, with a strong preference for local market experience.

Duties

• Manage the tender from receipt, through to submission and post tender queries.
• Liaise with and manage the internal and external tender team.
• Mark up enquiries to be sent out to the supply chain, organise Bills Of Quantities production and obtain material quotes where necessary.
• Evaluate returned quotations from supply chain and liaise with supply chain member to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements.
• Prepare and evaluate risk and opportunity.
• Arrange and prepare commercial documents for Tender Handover meetings.
• Review supply chain performance quarterly.
• Attend pre-qualification, mid tender and post tender interviews.
• Visit sites to obtain feedback.
• Prepare cost plans, feasibility studies and liaise with Clients.

Requirements

• Construction related degree
• The Estimator must have experience working as an estimator for a main building contractor.
• Must have experience working in Ireland
