This is a front-end commercial role where your work directly shapes how the business wins and prices major projects. You will report into the Senior Estimator and Commercial Director and operate as a key part of a high-performing pre-construction function.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates from drawings, specifications and tender documentation across commercial construction projects.
  • Identify risks, gaps and commercial opportunities within tender packages to strengthen the company's position.
  • Source competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers and keep the cost database current and accurate.
  • Analyse and evaluate subcontractor and supplier packages, including risk assessments and value engineering options.
  • Work alongside the Quantity Surveying team through pre-contract negotiations and project handover.
  • Manage preliminary budgets throughout the full tender process and agree final budgets with the commercial and project teams before handover.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers at tender and negotiation stage.
  • Monitor market pricing, industry trends and regulatory changes to keep estimates commercially sharp and compliant with company governance standards.
What We Are Looking For
  • Third-level qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum three years of estimating or commercial experience within Irish construction, ideally gained with a tier 1 main contractor.
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, outputs and current labour, plant and material costs in the Irish market.
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability with a sharp commercial instinct.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tenders, deadlines and documentation simultaneously.
  • Clear communicator who can engage confidently with clients, subcontractors and senior stakeholders.
  • Proactive and methodical in approach, with a track record of delivering accurate, well-structured tender submissions.
What Is On Offer
  • Base salary of €70,000, with flexibility above this for a more senior profile.

  • Car allowance or company vehicle.
  • A structured career development programme with a defined path from Estimator to Senior Estimator to Estimating Manager.
