Job summary

SSR Personnel in Dublin South is seeking a Physical Security Technology Support Specialist to join a centralised managed services team supporting a major data centre client across Europe. You will provide technical support and application engineering for enterprise physical security systems, including access control and CCTV/VMS, with hands-on programming and network troubleshooting.

The role is office-based in Dublin, Monday–Friday 9:00–17:00, with right to work in the EU.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years’ relevant experience in electronic security systems
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise access control and video surveillance/VMS
• Proven systems programming, configuration, commissioning and application engineering capability
• Good understanding of IP networks and networking specifically as they relate to physical security systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills – able to investigate and resolve problems
• Experience dealing directly with customers and taking ownership of technical issues through to resolution
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Must currently live in and be based in Dublin

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and application engineering for enterprise physical security systems protecting a data centre estate across Europe.
• Troubleshoot access control, video surveillance and integrated security systems; investigate application, server, network and device-related problems; manage technical work orders; and work directly with customers, vendors and security integrators to drive issues through to resolution.
• Provide technical guidance to junior analysts and help maintain a consistently high standard of service across the European estate.
