Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with enterprise electronic security systems.
• Experience installing, commissioning, and supporting access control systems in commercial/enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of CCTV, alarms, intercoms, and network-based security systems.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, commission, and maintain enterprise-level electronic access control systems.
• Support and manage security platforms including Lenel, Honeywell, CCURE, and Vanderbilt.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, firmware updates, and preventative maintenance.
• Work with CCTV, intercoms, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and installation documentation.
• Maintain service reports, system configurations, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians during deployments.
• Participate in service callouts and on-call support.

Job Title: Security Systems Technician

Location: Dublin (Field Based)

Our client, a leading provider ofintegrated enterprise security solutions, is seeking an experiencedSecurity Systems Technician to join their growing technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support of enterprise-level electronic security systems across commercial and corporate environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience withaccess control platforms along with a solid understanding of integrated security solutions, including CCTV, intrusion detection, alarms, and network‑based security systems.

This is a field‑based technical role requiring excellent troubleshooting ability, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with project teams and clients to deliver high‑quality security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, commission, and maintain enterprise-level electronic access control systems
• Support and manage security platforms including Lenel, Honeywell, CCURE, and Vanderbilt
• Carry out diagnostics, fault finding, and troubleshooting across hardware, software, and network‑related security issues
• Perform system upgrades, patches, firmware updates, and preventative maintenance activities
• Work with integrated security solutions including CCTV, intercoms, intrusion detection, and alarm systems
• Provide on‑site and remote technical support to clients, ensuring efficient resolution of service issues
• Read and interpret technical drawings, system schematics, and installation documentation
• Maintain accurate records including service reports, system configurations, and project documentation
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians during system deployments and upgrades
• Participate in service callouts and on‑call support when required

Key Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with enterprise electronic security systems
• Proven experience installing, commissioning, and supporting access control systems within commercial or enterprise environments
• Good understanding of integrated security systems, including CCTV, alarms, intercoms, and platforms such as Genetec or AMAG
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, VLANs, and basic network troubleshooting
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues across security hardware, software, and communications networks
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system layouts
• Relevant manufacturer certifications (Lenel, Honeywell, CCURE, Vanderbilt, or similar) are advantageous
• Full clean driving licence
• Flexibility to travel to client sites when required
