Job summary

MSD Ireland is seeking an Engineering Senior Specialist to lead our Engineering Centre of Excellence at the Biotech site in Dublin. You will drive process safety, high-risk work governance, contractor management and digital reliability programmes while leading and developing a team.

You will coordinate cross-functional collaboration across Engineering and site partners to improve safety, compliance and operational performance, delivering tangible business results within a hybrid working

Qualifications

• Significant engineering, maintenance, reliability, process safety or technical operations experience.
• Experience in regulated or high-hazard environments.
• Ability to lead cross-functional programmes with measurable business impact.
• Strong knowledge of process safety and regulatory expectations.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Experience delivering digital reliability or asset-management improvements.
• Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead process safety across asset lifecycle and maintain safety standards.
• Govern Emergency Response Team readiness, training and drills.
• Define contractor management controls and monitor performance.
• Provide governance for high-risk work and permit-to-work processes.
• Lead engineering budgeting, forecasting and financial reviews.
• Define and lead digital reliability programmes and data-driven decisions.
• Lead and develop direct reports and align plans with site strategy.
