Job summary

Toast is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Commerce division in Dublin. You will lead a team of engineers focused on enhancing our merchant commerce platform, driving innovation for restaurant partners and improving operational efficiency.

In this role you will mentor engineers, shape the technical roadmap, collaborate with product and design, and ensure high-quality delivery through strong coding, testing, and deployment practices in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in leadership or management of engineering teams.
• Proven track record delivering complex software projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce systems and payment processing.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Ruby and related frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Trello.
