Job summary

Toast is seeking an Engineering Manager II to lead the OLAP Platform in Dublin. You will guide a growing team responsible for real-time analytics and data access for AI-enabled products, shaping technical strategy and ensuring platform stability.

You will mentor engineers, drive cross-functional alignment with consumer teams, and foster an outcomes-focused operating model in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading high performing engineering teams, with platform or internal developer focus.
• Strong background in data-heavy backend systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive technical direction, strategy and execution as the platform scales.
• Build partnerships across consumer teams and cross-team forums to align roadmaps.
• Introduce AI-first approaches to workflows, reducing manual effort and enabling safe scale.
• Create operating mechanisms with metrics and monitoring to keep teams unblocked.
• Coach and mentor engineers, supporting their growth as individual contributors and leaders.
