Toast, Inc. in Dublin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Toast Connect team.

You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend microservices and RESTful APIs using Java/Kotlin on AWS, collaborating with product, UX, and other engineers to deliver features at scale. You will also mentor peers, drive best practices, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure platform uptime while leveraging AI tooling as part of the workflow.

Competenze

• 5+ years professional backend software development in Kotlin, Java, or another OO language, with testing and quality focus.
• Strong understanding of building RESTful APIs, fault-tolerant, scalable distributed systems.
• Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases and distributed datastores.

• Lead complex projects across multiple teams and systems.
