Catalyx, a leader in operational process automation, seeks a Senior Engineer – Process Automation in Ireland. You will lead design, development and delivery of automation solutions, mentoring engineers while applying best practices and staying current with industry trends.

You will oversee installation, commissioning and qualification, resolve complex technical issues, and collaborate with sales and project management to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Certifications in automation platforms are required.
• Experience in control systems, validation and data design.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and technical support of automation solutions adhering to Catalyx and industry standards.
• Lead the installation, commissioning, and qualification, and support of automation solutions.
• Identify and own the resolution of complex technical issues in automation solutions.
• Assist in identifying and addressing risks and training gaps.
• Define and assign engineering tasks.
• Approve technical specifications, drawings, bills of materials, and documents.
• Provide technical guidance, support, and mentorship to other engineers with best practices and standards in mind.
• Support the sales team in the creation of quotes and proposals.

Job Summary

The Senior Engineer will be a Subject Matter Expert who leads the design, development and delivery of automation solutions.

This person will leverage deep expertise in specific areas while maintaining a strong understanding of broader engineering principles. This person will provide mentorship to other engineers and guides team to successfully deliver project solutions. Continually refines expertise and stays at the forefront of industry trends and technological advancements.

• Lead the installation, commissioning, and qualification, and support of automation solutions.
• Identify and own the resolution of complex technical issues in automation solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant Engineering discipline.
• Certifications in relevant automation platforms
• Preferred platforms:
• Siemens PCS7 and TIA Portal
• Emerson DeltaV
• Inductive Automation Ignition
• AVEVA PI Historian
• Rockwell Logix5000 Platform
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally. (Base Location is Ireland)
• Required Skills:
