Job summary

Presidio in Dublin seeks an L3 IT Engineer to join our enterprise IT team. You will deliver Level 3 support for local users, install and troubleshoot software and hardware, and manage M365, Azure, and VDI environments while collaborating with vendors to resolve complex network issues.

You will drive security, backups, and inventories, provide on‑site support as needed, and ensure SLA compliance while expanding expertise in Ergo products and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft environments including management of M365 (Teams, Exchange, One Drive).
• Experience with Azure security components MFA/conditional access policy.
• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Intune configuration policies.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
• Experience with Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V) and Citrix.

The Role

Presidio are seeking an L3 IT Engineer for a permanent role in Dublin. As an L3 IT Engineer you will work with some of Ireland's top IT professionals supporting major Enterprise clients and well-known brands using a deep technical stack which includes M365, VMware, Azure and VDI solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 3 IT support to local users
• Installing, configuring and troubleshooting of IT related software and hardware.
• Perform routine day to day system security checks and backups and produce status reports.
• Work with other technical staff to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
• Work with vendors/partners to resolve complex network problems.
• Provide extended on-site support to varied customers, as and when required.
• Assume full ownership and responsibility of all allocated support tickets ensuring they are dealt with promptly and professionally and satisfactorily concluded.
• Ensure strict adherence to SLA when dealing with customer tickets/calls.
• Develop and maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of Ergo products, services and solutions with a view to specialisation in one or more technologies.
• Record and maintain hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licensing and user access and security.
• Provide technical training to customers when a new user or systems is implemented and is requested.

Experience:

A good knowledge of and experience working with Microsoft environments including:

• Management of M365 (supporting Teams, Exchange, One Drive etc.)
• Management of Azure security components MFA/conditional access policy
• Supporting and setting up Mobile Devices (MDM)
• Experience with working with Intune configuration policies
• Good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Domain Controllers, group policies, DNS
• Good understanding of backup and restoration methodsWindows 11 configuration, operation and management
• Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 administration and maintenance
• Virtualisation (VMWare or Hyper‑V)
• Citrix Support or Administration
• Azure Administration/Configuration
• Professional certifications an advantage
• Good understanding of email filtering configuration and principals
• Experience with hybrid-Exchange environments
• Experience with hybrid Active Directory/Entra environments for both user and computer accounts an advantage
• Experience with SCCM regarding application, PatchMyPC, updates, and task sequence image based build deployments
• Experience with Defender for Endpoint configuration for both workstations and servers
• Experience with Dell VxRail, PowerStores, PowerProtect Backup & PowerProtect Cyber Recovery and advantage
• Experience with Commvault Metallic
• Understanding on Sentinel, Data Collection rules
• Experience with Disaster Recover/Cyber Recovery
