Job summary

JJ Rhatigan & Company, a leading Irish building contractor, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Dublin team. You will review designs for buildability, manage on-site resources, and coordinate information with the design team to keep the programme on track.

The role emphasizes leadership of engineering staff, temporary works coordination, QA/QC, and liaison with project management to deliver multi-million-euro projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Review the design in detail for buildability and generate a schedule of issues for each stage of construction.
• Provide leadership to engineering staff and mentor junior engineers on site.
• Coordinate with design teams to ensure timely provision of information and maintain RFI schedules.

Responsibilities

• Review design for buildability and generate a schedule of issues.
• Ensure adequate engineering resources and mentor staff on site.
• Maintain RFI Schedule and ensure information is provided on time.
• Coordinate with site and design teams to keep the programme on track.
• Lead temporary works coordination and maintain related registers.
• Generate and review method statements and risk assessments with the team.
• Carry out inspections and audits of works and ensure compliance with quality plans.
• Sign off on package scopes and ensure subcontractors align with drawings and specifications.
