Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants seeks a Senior Engineer for a large-scale data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany. You will work with a Tier 1 main contractor, supporting site delivery on a fast-paced development that spans technical challenges and tight timelines.

The role requires relocation/working away from home for the project duration, with responsibilities including coordinating subcontractors, reviewing design information, and ensuring safety, quality, and compliance on site.

• Strong technical delivery and subcontractor coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Support site delivery of technical works and safety compliance.

• Liaise with design team and site management for information flow and issue resolution on site.

Job Description

Senior Engineer Senior Engineer required for a Tier 1 Main Contractor to work on a large-scale Data Centre project in Frankfurt, Germany. Our client is specifically looking for a Senior Engineer currently working with a main contractor, ideally with data centre construction experience, who is comfortable working away from home on an international assignment supporting site delivery on a large-scale, technically demanding build. Candidates from Ireland or the UK with a track record on complex, fast-track construction programmes are encouraged to apply. The successful Senior Engineer will report to the Site Manager on site.

Role

Support site delivery of technical works, ensuring activities are carried out safely, to programme and to the required quality standards. Coordinate subcontractors on technical and engineering aspects of a large-scale, technically demanding data centre build. Review technical and design information, checking for discrepancies and ensuring works are constructed in line with specification. Liaise with the design team, site management and subcontractors to ensure smooth information flow and issue resolution on site. Provide CDM and Health and Safety input, ensuring compliance with site-specific and local regulatory requirements. Support planning and sequencing on a fast-track construction programme.
