Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to head the electrical function on major data centre and mission-critical projects in Germany. You will drive design reviews, submittals, coordination with BIM and subcontractors, and oversee installation through to commissioning and handover.

The role requires a degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, 7+ years’ experience on large-scale electrical builds, and an EU passport.

• 7+ years of experience delivering large-scale electrical projects.
• EU Passport is essential for this role.
• Experience with LV & MV systems, design standards, and commissioning.
• Experience with technical submittals, design reviews and contractor coordination.

Lead Electrical Engineer We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 M&E contractor delivering major data centre and mission-critical projects across Germany. Working as part of the project team, you'll lead the electrical engineering function from design review and technical coordination through to installation, commissioning and client handover.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical designs and identify technical issues or design improvements.
• Coordinate technical submittals, procurement and equipment delivery.
• Work closely with BIM, design teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage electrical installation, system walk-downs, testing and commissioning activities.
• Support design development, technical assessments and engineering documentation.
• Monitor project progress, quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and support to junior engineers.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• 7+ years' experience delivering large-scale electrical projects.
• An EU Passport is essential for this role.
• Experience within data centres, pharmaceutical, commercial or industrial construction.
• Strong knowledge of LV & MV systems, electrical design standards and commissioning.
• Experience with technical submittals, design reviews and contractor coordination.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech and Microsoft Office.
