Job summary

Dublin City Council is seeking a Senior Engineer (Temporary) to lead the engineering workstream for the Camden Yard development in Dublin. The role reports to the Executive Manager and drives delivery through tendering and construction phases.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Engineering (NFQ Level 8) accredited at CEng or CEng with FL by Engineers Ireland.
• Ordinary bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 7) with a post-graduate masters (NFQ Level 9) in Engineering.
• Masters degree (NFQ Level 9) in Engineering from an integrated four-year programme and accredited at CEng or equivalent internationally.
• Registered Chartered Engineer title and be on the Register of Chartered Engineers or equivalent international body.
• At least eight years’ satisfactory relevant engineering experience including six years directing major engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical and engineering workstream for the Camden Yard development.
• Manage the engineering programme, budget, and risk across all work packages.
• Oversee change control and assess cost, programme, and contractual impacts of design changes.
• Coordinate internal DCC stakeholders across departments to align delivery with corporate objectives.
