Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Senior Engineer to oversee engineering operations across two residential development sites in County Kildare, including Kilcock and Maynooth. The role requires leading site teams and ensuring delivery to approved drawings and regulations.

You will manage setting out, infrastructure works, and coordination with consultants, subcontractors and authorities, while maintaining health and safety standards and project programmes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all engineering activities across two residential development sites, ensuring consistent standards and efficient project delivery.
• Manage and develop site engineering teams, including Intermediate, Junior and Graduate Engineers.
• Oversee setting out, dimensional control and the coordination of drawings, RFIs & technical queries.
• Manage infrastructure and site development works, including roads, drainage, utilities and external works.
• Ensure compliance with planning conditions, Building Regulations, BCAR requirements and quality assurance standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, local authorities and utility providers to ensure works are completed to the required standards.
• Monitor project programmes, identify technical risks and resolve issues that may impact cost or project delivery.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring appropriate site procedures and risk controls are in place.
• Oversee engineering records, inspections and documentation required for project completion and handover.

A leading residential developer is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to oversee engineering operations across two residential development sites in County Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer to take responsibility for engineering delivery across multiple projects while leading and developing site engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate all engineering activities across two residential development sites, ensuring consistent standards and efficient project delivery.
• Manage and develop site engineering teams, including Intermediate, Junior and Graduate Engineers.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in a Site Engineer or Senior Engineer role within the construction industry.
• Previous experience working on residential developments, ideally across multiple sites.
• Strong technical knowledge of setting out, infrastructure and civil engineering works.
• Experience managing engineering teams and coordinating with design teams, subcontractors and consultants.
• Good knowledge of BCAR, Building Regulations, quality assurance and health and safety requirements.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites.
