Job summary

Life Science Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join a highly technical hardware team in Limerick. This senior individual contributor role offers ownership of complex electronics projects from design through validation, debugging and delivery.

You will work across new product development and sustaining engineering, collaborating closely with embedded software and firmware teams to troubleshoot and improve sophisticated electronics products.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electronic circuit design across analogue and digital domains.
• Experience with PCB design, schematic capture and layout.
• Hands-on hardware verification, debugging and fault finding.
• Structured root-cause analysis in a regulated or complex hardware environment.
• Ability to work with embedded software/firmware teams and document changes.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware activities across the product lifecycle from concept to validation.
• Design and review analogue and digital circuits and PCBs.
• Perform board bring-up, debugging and hardware validation.
• Conduct laboratory testing, measurements and fault finding.
• Diagnose complex hardware issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Design and troubleshoot DC-to-DC power conversion solutions.
• Support new product development and provide ongoing hardware support.
• Collaborate with embedded software/firmware teams during development.
• Document designs, test results and engineering changes; contribute to design reviews.
