Job summary

Advanced Energy in Cork, Ireland is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead verification and validation across the full product lifecycle. You will design test hardware and automated systems, and collaborate with design, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure products meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements.

You will mentor engineers, develop test plans and fixtures, and travel up to 5% to remote sites and customers as needed. Strong electronics knowledge required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science or similar.
• Strong knowledge of electronics principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement test hardware including fixtures, interface circuitry, and instrumentation setups.
• Develop, maintain, and improve automated test systems, software tools, and test frameworks.
• Collaborate with the wider R&D team to define test plans, test specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Drive continuous improvement in test methodologies, automation coverage, test efficiency, and data analysis.
• Investigate product failures and test anomalies, performing root cause analysis.
