Job summary

Waters is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Limerick to design and develop electronic hardware systems for regulated environments. You will contribute to architectures, review schematics, and support verification, with emphasis on PCB development and analog/digital/mixed-signal design.

You should have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 8–12+ years in hardware product development, plus strong analytical and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8–12+ years of experience in electronic product development.
• Strong understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Experience with PCB development and board-level debugging.
• Experience using laboratory test and measurement equipment.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic hardware systems and subsystems.
• Contribute to technical requirements and electronic architectures.
• Perform schematic and PCB design reviews.
• Support verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Drive or support root-cause investigations and technical problem solving.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support product introduction and sustaining activities.
• Support component lifecycle and obsolescence mitigation initiatives.
• Evaluate and qualify alternate electronic components.
• Work closely with external engineering partners and suppliers.
