Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for an electrical-focused project in Ireland.You will lead measurement, valuation and cost management across LV/HV installations, prepare certificates and final accounts, and advise on variations and settlements.

Responsibilities include developing cost controls, detailed estimates, and maintaining relationships with contractors, consultants, suppliers and professional bodies to support successful project outcomes.

Formación

• 8+ years as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale electrical, energy, oil and gas, transmission & distribution, renewable energy, utilities projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations, and construction methodologies.
• Clear understanding of construction contract documents, drawings and specifications.
• Experience delivering technically complex and high-value projects.
• Experience in a comparable consultancy environment, or with a client or contractor organisation.
• Knowledge of cost management principles, methods, techniques and tools, including the standard method of measurement.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to foster relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake measurement and valuation of electrical designs and on-site works, develop the Schedule of Rates and/or Bill of Quantities, assess materials, equipment and installations.
• Prepare monthly payment certificates and final accounts, monitor anticipated final project costs.
• Support development and implementation of cost control processes, procedures, and policies.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical installations including materials, labour, plant and subcontract works.
• Develop and maintain processes to produce cost reports and financial forecasts.
• Foster relationships with contractors, consultants, suppliers and professional bodies.
• Provide commercial advice on claims, variations, compensation events and disputes.
• Review Bills of Quantities and Schedules of Rates for cost validation.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and provide forecasting and cost control recommendations.
• Undertake measurement and valuation of LV and HV systems, containment, cabling, substations, switchgear, lighting and power distribution.
• Support procurement activities including tender evaluation and contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with contract conditions and maintain records for final accounts.
