Job summary

King & Moffatt Building Services in Ireland seeks an Electrical Pre-Construction Manager to lead bid strategy across major M&E projects. You will drive electrical tendering, design coordination, and client engagement from enquiry through handover, with senior leadership collaboration.

The role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical, commercial, and delivery experience in data centres, pharma, or large commercial schemes. Excellent leadership and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience within the Electrical Building Services or M&E sector
• At least 5 years in a Pre-Construction, Senior Estimating, or Electrical Bid Management role
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, infrastructure, and building services delivery

Responsibilities

• Leading the electrical pre-construction and bid management process from enquiry through to project handover
• Developing winning strategies for Electrical and full M&E Design & Build tenders
• Coordinating Electrical Estimators, Design Engineers, Planners, and Bid Teams
• Reviewing electrical technical specifications, drawings, and tender documentation
• Managing electrical design development and technical compliance throughout tender stages
• Identifying project risks, long-lead electrical equipment requirements, and programme constraints
• Driving value engineering opportunities and innovative electrical solutions
• Leading supply chain engagement with key electrical manufacturers and subcontractors
• Managing tender programmes and ensuring submissions meet client requirements and deadlines
• Preparing and delivering technical presentations and tender interviews with clients and consultants
• Supporting seamless handover from Pre-Construction to Operations and Project Delivery teams
• Monitoring market trends, bid performance, and opportunities for continuous improvement
