Job summary

King & Moffatt Building Services is seeking an Electrical Pre-Construction Manager to lead the electrical pre-construction and bid strategy across major M&E projects in Ireland and Europe.

This senior role drives tendering, technical compliance, design coordination, commercial strategy, and client engagement from initial enquiry through to project handover, working with senior leadership and key supply chain partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Electrical Building Services or M&E sector.
• At least 5 years in Pre-Construction, Senior Estimating, or Electrical Bid Management.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or Construction Management.

Responsibilities

• Leading electrical pre-construction and bid management from enquiry through handover.
• Developing winning strategies for Electrical and full M&E tenders.
• Coordinating Electrical Estimators, Design Engineers, Planners, and Bid Teams.
• Reviewing electrical specs, drawings, and tender documentation.
• Managing design development and technical compliance through tender stages.
• Identifying risks, long lead equipment needs, and programme constraints.
• Driving value engineering and innovative electrical solutions.

Electrical Pre-Construction Manager – Major M&E Projects

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Pre-Construction Manager to join King & Moffatt Building Services and lead the electrical pre-construction and bid strategy across major M&E projects.

This is a senior leadership role where you’ll drive electrical tendering, technical compliance, design coordination, commercial strategy, and client engagement from initial enquiry through to project handover.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing tender programmes and ensuring submissions meet client requirements and deadlines
• Preparing and delivering technical presentations and tender interviews with clients and consultants
• Supporting seamless handover from Pre-Construction to Operations and Project Delivery teams
• Monitoring market trends, bid performance, and opportunities for continuous improvement

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 10 years’ experience within the Electrical Building Services or M&E sector
• At least 5 years in a Pre-Construction, Senior Estimating, or Electrical Bid Management role
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or Construction Management
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, infrastructure, and building services delivery
• Experience working on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, or large commercial projects
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of JCT / NEC contracts
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines
• Proficient in estimating software, MS Project / Asta, and digital construction platforms
