Job summary

ControlSoft Automation Systems Ltd is seeking an Electrical Panel Build Engineer to lead the electrical control panel build process for automation systems in Dundalk, Ireland. The role focuses on designing, detailing, and delivering best-in-class electrical panels across a range of industries.

Responsibilities include 2D/3D electrical design, component sourcing, and customer/supplier liaison. A Level 6 Electrical Trades Certificate or equivalent PLC panel experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Level 6 Electrical Trades Certificate required or highly desirable.
• PLC/MCC panel building experience essential.
• Familiarity with controls, motors, drives and pneumatics.

We are looking for a highly motivated, result-driven and confident Electrician to lead our electrical control panel building process. This is a full time and permanent position based in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland.

As an Electrical Panel Build Engineer, your role will be to lead the build / development of best-in-class electrical control panel solutions to support automation control systems across a wide spectrum of industries utilizing cutting-edge technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the PLC/MCC control panel build processes.
• Detailing electrical schematics and processes for build.
• Executing 2D & 3D electrical designs for complex automation projects.
• Sourcing of electrical components for designs.
• Creating test plans and documentation packs for developed electrical designs.
• Assisting in electrical debug of systems.
• Liaising with customers & suppliers.
• Meeting project delivery deadlines.
• The candidate will need to be a team player and fit well within a team of professional individuals.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Ability to take ownership of projects.
• The role may involve a small amount of travel from time to time.
• Ability to carry out customer FAT's, on site SAT's and supporting documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Level 6 Electrical Trades Certificate highly desirable and PLC/MCC panel building experience is essential.
• Familiarity with electrical controls, AC/DC motors, servo motors, invertors, general panel equipment, drives and pneumatics.
• Experience of using software packages such as Eplan P8, Eplan Pro Panel, AutoCAD Electrical an advantage.
• Knowledge & understanding of PLC programming and controls methodologies an advantage.
• Knowledge of Robotics, automation principles, and safety standards an advantage.
• Ambitious, confident and professional individual with strong communication and organisational skills.
