Job summary

GemPool Recruitment in Dublin is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join an industrial automation team. You will deliver automation projects from design through to testing, commissioning and validation, with hands-on involvement in PLC/DCS/SCADA systems.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in industrial automation, a Level 8 engineering degree, and familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Ignition, or FactoryTalk, plus willingness to travel across Ireland and Europe.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
• Level 8 degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
• Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Ignition, or FactoryTalk is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical and project documentation.

• Conduct FAT, SAT, commissioning, and site start-up activities.
• Troubleshoot automation and control systems.
• Work closely with project managers, customers, and engineering teams.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and industry standards.

• Willingness and ability to travel across Ireland and Europe.
• Eligible to work in Ireland and Europe without sponsorship.
