Job description

This role will be responsible for building panels to a high standard, following technical drawings and ensuring accuracy across all wiring and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and wiring of electrical control panels
  • Work from schematic diagrams, wiring drawings, and panel layouts
  • Install and wire components such as:
  • Relays
  • Contactors
  • Terminal blocks
  • PLC components (where applicable)
  • Carry out panel testing, fault finding, and modifications
  • Ensure all builds meet quality and safety standards
  • Maintain neat and organised wiring to a high standard
  • Work closely with supervisors and engineering teams
  • Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
Requirements
  • Fully qualified electrician (Irish or recognised equivalent)
  • Experience working in a panel shop or similar environment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Experience with control panel wiring and assembly
  • Currently a 2nd, 3rd or 4th year apprentice
  • Panel wiring, panel shop, or switchgear experience is highly desirable
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skillsStrong work ethic and reliability
