Veolia seeks a Senior Electrical Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to oversee electrical cost estimation across Design & Build bids in Water, Waste & Energy sectors from proposals through tender submission. You will manage BOQs, rates, and risk assessments while coordinating with Proposals and Contracts teams.
You will negotiate with subcontractors, prepare commercial documentation, and support project delivery with value-driven estimates and cost control across multiple concurrent bids.

Contract Type: Permanent Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm Location: Kilkenny / Dublin (Hybrid arrangements to be discussed)
The Senior Electrical Estimator / Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the commercial and estimating functions across multiple Design & Build projects within Veolia's Water, Waste & Energy Business Units. You will lead the electrical cost estimation and commercial planning during the proposals phase, supporting bids from inception through to tender submission. Upon contract award, you will transition projects to the Contracts team whilst remaining available to provide ongoing commercial and quantity surveying support during the delivery phase as required. This role requires flexibility, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively across both the Proposals and Contracts functions to ensure maximum value delivery for Veolia.
Assist with handover of projects to the Contracts team upon award with clear commercial baseline and documentation. Provide ongoing commercial and quantity surveying support during project delivery, including subcontractor account management and payment administration. Compare quantities/scopes defined during detailed design with the ones agreed contractually and flag any discrepancies. Support the Contracts team during quieter proposal periods to maintain project momentum and commercial compliance. Collaborate with the project and procurement teams to review, assess and document subcontracts and any subsequent variations.
