Job summary

Network Talent Partners is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for data centre projects in Ireland. You will drive design packages from concept to commissioning, covering HV/MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators and critical power systems.

The role requires 5–10+ years of electrical design experience in data centres or mission-critical environments, with BIM/Revit proficiency and a Chartered or progressing chartership being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10+ years' electrical design experience, preferably in data centres or mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of resilient electrical systems and N, N+1 and 2N design.
• Experience with BIM/Revit and electrical design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design packages from concept through detailed design, construction and commissioning.
• Work across HV/MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, busways and critical power systems.
• Develop electrical calculations, load schedules, single-line diagrams, specifications and technical reports.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and contribute to the wider electrical team.
• Work directly with clients, contractors and other consultants on major projects.

We are working with a specialist engineering consultancy focused on data centres and mission-critical infrastructure, supporting major projects across Ireland and Europe.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team and play a key role in the delivery of large-scale, technically complex data centre projects.

The Opportunity

• Lead electrical design packages from concept through detailed design, construction and commissioning
• Work across HV/MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, busways and critical power systems
• Develop electrical calculations, load schedules, single‑line diagrams, specifications and technical reports
• Work closely with mechanical, CSA, fire protection and BMS/controls teams
• Review contractor designs, technical submissions, RFIs and vendor proposals
• Support site inspections, construction‑stage design and commissioning activities
• Take ownership of electrical workstreams, programme and technical delivery
• Mentor and support junior engineers and contribute to the wider electrical team
• Work directly with clients, contractors and other consultants on major projects

About You

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent
• 5–10+ years' electrical design experience, ideally within data centres or mission‑critical environments
• Strong understanding of resilient electrical systems and N, N+1 and 2N design
• Experience working within an engineering or MEP design consultancy
• Experience with BIM/Revit and electrical design software
• Data centre experience across Ireland, the UK or mainland Europe
• Chartered Engineer status or progress towards Chartership would be advantageous
