Job summary

Glanua Limited in Ireland is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the electrical design team on major projects from head office in Co. Galway.

The role requires coordinating with process, mechanical, control & automation, civil and structural disciplines to deliver compliant design solutions on time and within budget. You will oversee design reviews, procure LV/MV packages, and ensure integration with health, safety, environmental and sustainability standards.

Qualifications

• Level 7/8 Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in Water & Wastewater.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong planning, organisational, training, teamwork and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autodesk packages.
• Working knowledge of Trimble ProDesign (Amtech) or ETAP calculation software.
• Full Clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HSE, sustainability and quality are integrated into all designs and outputs.
• Lead Electrical Department design engineers to meet quality, schedules and budgets.
• Collaborate with Process, Mechanical, Control & Automation, Civil and Structural teams for optimal designs.
• Lead procurement for LV and MV packages and manage third‑party consultants.
• Provide robust handovers to site delivery teams and assist tender submissions.
