Job summary

Glanua Limited in Limerick is seeking an Electrical Site Engineer with 3+ years in electrical design and site delivery for water, wastewater or manufacturing environments. You will design, review and manage electrical packages, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and ensure safety and quality standards on every project.

On-site duties include procurement, installation supervision, commissioning and handover across one or more projects.

Qualifications

• Level 7/8 degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably in Water & Wastewater.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent planning, organisational, training, teamwork, problem resolution and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autodesk packages.
• Working knowledge of PLCs (programming not required) and VSDs/motor starters, valves actuators and instrumentation.
• Experience with Trimble ProDesign (Amtech) or ETAP would be an advantage.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or food-grade manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental, Sustainability & Quality standards are integrated into all designs and outputs.
• Collaborate with Process, Mechanical, Control & Automation, Civil and Structural disciplines for optimum design solutions.
• Prepare design outputs, site surveys, M&I listings, electrical load balances and transformer sizing.
• Procure and manage LV/MV packages and automation hardware/software.
• Review tender returns and provide technical and commercial recommendations.
• Assist tender team with pricing for electrical works.
• Promote off-site manufacturing, digitalised working, and sustainability.
• On-site duties include health and safety adherence and management of electrical installation scope.
• Liaise with employer representatives and subcontractors; manage site personnel.
