Job summary

Glanua in Navan is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Leinster construction projects. The role covers electrical design submissions and cross-discipline coordination across mechanical, civil and structural teams.

You will prepare safety and scope documents, review subcontract pricing and manage site personnel to align with the project programme. A Level 7/8 Electrical Engineering degree with 3+ years in relevant sectors is expected.

Qualifications

• Level 7/8 Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably in Water & Wastewater sector.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; planning and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Full Clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical detailed design submissions.
• Collaborate with design teams on drawings and documentation.
• Coordinate between Mechanical & Electrical and Civil & Structural designers.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments and safety docs.
• Prepare scope documents and tender packages.
• Review subcontract tender and contract pricing.
• Develop electrical design deliverables (SLDs, cable schedules, motor and instrumentation schedules, P&IDs).
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors; issue purchase orders and sub-contracts.
• Manage site personnel and subcontractors per design and schedule.
• Perform quality checks and ready works for commissioning.
• Prepare commissioning documentation and supervise commissioning.
• Coordinate project close-out and handover to end user.
