Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in building services electrical design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar software.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Experience in refurbishment or upgrade projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design of MEP systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, fire alarms, and data/communications infrastructure.
• Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical reports in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and mechanical engineers.
• Conduct design reviews, technical assessments, and quality checks to ensure compliance, safety, and performance.
• Support the delivery of projects from concept through to construction and commissioning.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and graduate team members.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering consultancy delivering complex building services projects across Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to work on technically challenging developments within both existing and new buildings, contributing to high-quality and efficient electrical design solutions.

Key Projects

You will have the opportunity to work on projects such as:

• Electrical system upgrades within large operational buildings to improve performance, resilience, and energy efficiency.
• Electrical services design for technically complex environments requiring high levels of reliability and compliance.
• Refurbishment and redevelopment of occupied buildings where careful coordination and phased delivery are essential.
• Projects incorporating modern energy-efficient electrical infrastructure and smart building technologies.

Key Responsibilities
