Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a Project EHS Advisor to provide expert guidance on Environmental, Health and Safety for project management teams across ROI. You will support the EHS management system and lead safety plans, audits and incident investigations.

You will coordinate with clients, project leaders and contractors to maintain regulatory compliance, promote a strong EHS culture, and drive continuous improvement on complex construction projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication across organizational layers.
• Strong presentation skills to diverse stakeholders.
• Autonomy with the ability to prioritize in dynamic environments.
• Member of IOSH, CM IOSH preferred.
• Degree or equivalent in Environmental, Health and Safety.
• 3–5 years EHS experience on large, complex projects.
• Knowledge of Irish Safety legislation and regulations.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech settings preferred.
• Experience implementing EHS management systems.
• Valid driving license and Safe Pass card.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support project teams on Environmental, Health and Safety matters to ensure legislative compliance.
• Develop formal project plans to drive continuous EHS improvements.
• Present EHS data to clients and project leadership regularly.
• Assess and control project risks; identify gaps and provide solutions.
• Maintain relationships with clients, project managers and contractors.
• Promote a positive EHS culture on projects and monitor compliance with standards.
• Lead internal audits and report actions to clients weekly.
• Draft and communicate project EHS plans and risk assessments.
• Review scopes and method statements for active projects and ensure methodology is followed.
• Investigate significant incidents and determine root causes for corrective actions.
• Liaise with enforcing authorities on issues and investigations.
• Participate in compliance forums and stay updated with best practices.
