Job summary

Submit.com is seeking a Senior Economic Development Officer Grade VII to support Kildare County Council in delivering strategic economic development initiatives. The role emphasizes partnerships, project management and leadership within a local government context.

The successful candidate will bring 5+ years of relevant experience, a Level 7+ qualification in Business or equivalent, and excellent communication and reporting skills to drive impact for the county’s economic strategy.

Qualifications

• Recognised third level qualification (level 7+) in Business or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in economic development.
• Strong understanding of the principles of Economic Development and Local Government's role.
• Understanding of challenges and opportunities facing businesses in Kildare.
• Experience developing and maintaining partnerships and engaging stakeholders.
• Experience in managing projects.
• Knowledge of safety management roles and duties in the workplace.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and reporting skills; leadership experience.
