Job summary

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council seeks an Executive Planner to help shape the future of the County. You will contribute to policy development, assess development proposals and deliver planning reports as part of a professional team.

The role requires strong analytical, organisational and leadership skills, plus extensive planning experience and IT proficiency in GIS, PowerPoint, Word and Excel. A full driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

At least five years' satisfactory experience of planning work.
A high standard of technical training and professional experience.
A high standard of administrative experience.
Strong IT skills, including knowledge of GIS, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
A full Category B driving licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

Deliver a wide range of planning services including Development Management, Planning Enforcement, Forward Planning and Sustainable Development.
Involved in policy development, research, data analysis and preparation of development plans and planning reports.
Collaborate with colleagues, elected members, developers, public bodies and communities to support sustainable growth and development of the County.
