Irish Tier 1 Main Contractor in Dublin is hiring a Senior Design Manager to oversee the design process for major modular and offsite construction projects. You will coordinate with architects, engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are fully coordinated, compliant with regulations and suitable for manufacture and installation.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of design coordination, buildability and cost impact, with experience in coordinating multidisciplinary design

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years experience with a Tier 1 contractor, Tier 2 contractor, modular construction contractor or design consultancy.
• NFQ Level 7 qualification in Architectural Technology required.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong experience in construction design coordination, technical detailing and design management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage and coordinate the design process across modular and offsite construction projects.
• Lead design coordination meetings with architects, engineers, consultants and specialist subcontractors.
• Develop and manage design programmes, ensuring technical information is issued in line with manufacturing and construction schedules.
• Review architectural drawings, technical specifications and construction details.
• Coordinate structural, architectural and mechanical and electrical design information.
• Identify and resolve design clashes, technical issues and buildability concerns.
• Work closely with manufacturing and site teams to ensure designs are suitable for offsite production, transport and installation.
• Manage design deliverables, technical submissions, approvals and outstanding design information.
• Ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations, project specifications and quality standards.
• Support Project Managers and construction teams in resolving design-related programme risks.
• Monitor design changes and assess their impact on cost, programme and construction delivery.
