Irish Tier 1 Main Contractor in Dublin is hiring a Senior Design Manager to oversee the design process for major modular and offsite construction projects. You will coordinate with architects, engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are fully coordinated, compliant with regulations and suitable for manufacture and installation.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of design coordination, buildability and cost impact, with experience in coordinating multidisciplinary design

Qualificações

• Must have 7+ years experience with a Tier 1 contractor, Tier 2 contractor, modular construction contractor or design consultancy.
• NFQ Level 7 qualification in Architectural Technology required.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong experience in construction design coordination, technical detailing and design management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and coordinate the design process across modular and offsite construction projects.

With a strong pipeline of work throughout Dublin and the wider Leinster region, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Design Manager to strengthen their design management team.

The Role: Senior Design Manager

As Senior Design Manager, you'll take responsibility for managing and coordinating the design process across major modular and offsite construction projects in Dublin.

Working closely with architects, structural engineers, building services consultants, manufacturing teams and project management, you'll ensure designs are fully coordinated, technically compliant and suitable for manufacture and installation.

You’ll oversee design programmes, manage technical submissions, coordinate design information and ensure all design deliverables are issued in line with project and manufacturing requirements. This is a senior position requiring strong technical knowledge and a practical understanding of how design decisions affect buildability, programme delivery, quality and cost.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have 7+ years' experience with a Tier 1 contractor, Tier 2 contractor, modular construction contractor or design consultancy.
• NFQ Level 7 qualification in Architectural Technology required.
• Must be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong experience in construction design coordination, technical detailing and design management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in modular construction, offsite manufacturing or panelised building systems preferred.
• Previous experience managing multidisciplinary design teams on substantial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of BIM coordination and design information management.
• Experience coordinating architectural, structural and building services designs.
• Knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, BCAR and construction compliance requirements.

About You

You’ll be an experienced Senior Design Manager with a strong background in architectural technology, construction detailing and multidisciplinary design coordination.

You’ll understand the practical challenges involved in taking designs from concept through detailed design, manufacturing and site installation, particularly where programme, quality and buildability are critical.

You’ll be confident working with Revit and AutoCAD, coordinating consultants and managing design information across several project disciplines.

Strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing design priorities will be important. Experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor, modular construction company or design consultancy is required, while direct experience in offsite manufacturing would be particularly beneficial.
