Job summary

Horizon Controls Group - Cork is seeking a DeltaV Engineer to lead automation initiatives for a world-class bioprocess facility in Meath. You will provide lead-level guidance and drive high-quality project outcomes with strict adherence to company policies and standards.

The role focuses on developing, implementing, and overseeing automation project execution, designing end-to-end solutions, and ensuring seamless integration of DeltaV systems within the broader enterprise context.

Qualifications

BS in related engineering field
Minimum 5 years industry experience
Minimum 5 years DeltaV configuration experience (Batch and Continuous)
Process control project experience required
Ability to develop proposals and quote large complex batch projects
Knowledge of advanced control techniques and process equipment control requirements
Startup experience on large automation projects
Cost justification for process improvements/projects

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Process Automation System engineers to develop design documentation for projects.
Prepare Configuration Functional Design Specifications.
Collaborate with Safety Instrumented System Engineer to develop control strategies.
Implement DeltaV control systems for new and upgraded systems.
Configure DeltaV using Function Blocks and relevant software tools.
Provide guidance on Structured Text and Sequential Function Charts.
Lead project teams and mentor junior engineers.
Design, implement, and test controls for complex processes and areas of a project.
