Job summary

Horizon Controls Group in Ireland is seeking a DeltaV Engineer to lead automation projects for a world-class bioprocess facility. You will design, implement, and oversee control systems, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with safety and company standards.

You will work on DeltaV configurations, batch and continuous applications, and develop design specifications and control strategies, collaborating with clients to deliver scalable, reliable automation solutions.

Qualifications

BS in a related engineering field, e.g., Electrical, Instrument, Chemical.
Minimum 5 years industry experience.
Minimum 5 years DeltaV configuration experience with both Batch and Continuous applications.
Process control project experience required.
Ability to develop proposals and quote large complex batch projects.
Knowledge of current advanced control techniques and equipment control requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering services and lead a team of process automation engineers to create design documentation.
Prepare Configuration Functional Design Specifications.
Collaborate with Safety Instrumented System Engineer to develop control strategies for Basic Process Control Systems.
Implement new technologies such as DeltaV.
Configure DeltaV Control Systems from narratives and P&IDs using Function Blocks.
Work withStructured Text and Sequential Function Charts.
Mentor team members and lead project planning.
Design, implement and test controls for complex processes.
