Job summary

Optum is seeking a Senior Manager Data Engineering to lead a team of data engineers, design scalable architectures, and drive data platform initiatives. You will oversee data integration from multiple sources, mentor staff, and partner with business units to deliver analytics solutions.

The role involves guiding cloud migration efforts, collaborating with Data Science and Product teams, and advancing best practices across the engineering function in a hybrid Dublin/Letterkenny environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Database Management, IT or CS.
• Experience in enterprise data architectures and data integration.
• Experience with cloud DB technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Data modeling, data visualization tools and data quality practices.
• Experience with healthcare data standards (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data engineers and mentor members.
• Design data architectures that meet enterprise standards.
• Plan and manage data project implementations.
• Develop data pipelines and ensure clean coding practices.
• Partner with Data Science and Product leaders on analytics pipelines.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure on cloud strategies (Azure, Snowflake, etc.).
