Job summary

Optum is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Ireland to design and implement complex data pipelines using Snowflake, Azure and Airflow. You will integrate data from on-prem and cloud sources, ensure data quality and support analytics and ML tasks.

You will collaborate with data architects, analysts and stewards to deliver reliable data Foundations. Hybrid work between Dublin/Letterkenny offices and home-based setup is available in a flexible model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Database Management, IT, CS, or a related field.
• Proven hands-on experience as a Data Engineer with SQL and data modeling skills.
• Experience with Snowflake, Python, and data integration pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Integrate data from on-prem and cloud sources to create a unified data foundation.
• Develop data transformation routines and apply processing techniques for analytics.
• Implement data masking and data de-identification per standards.
• Develop monitoring tools and automate error handling for data integrity.
• Create ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow and Snowflake as primary tools.
• Design logical and physical data models to maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with BI, Data Architecture and Data Stewards to align requirements.
• Build CI/CD pipelines using Git/GitHub Actions and other automation tech.
