Job summary

Abbott Diabetes Care in Donegal is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead data initiatives that support manufacturing, quality and operational excellence. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership with Oracle PL/SQL and AWS cloud experience.

You will design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, manage data warehouses, and collaborate with Operations, Quality and IT to deliver reliable, compliant data systems for a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Oracle, PL/SQL, and data warehousing.
• Cloud data solutions on AWS and Databricks experience.
• Background in manufacturing or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive a data engineering strategy focused on high-quality, scalable data solutions.
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Oracle PL/SQL and AWS data services.
• Manage and optimise data warehouses supporting manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality and IT to deliver reliable data systems.
• Ensure data integrity and support validated/GxP environments.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and drive end-to-end delivery.
