Job summary

Abbott Ireland Diabetes Care Division Donegal is seeking a data analytics professional to independently mine large datasets and provide real-time analysis for manufacturing processes.

The role focuses on interpreting statistical findings into actionable business insights, consulting on analytics tools, supporting investigations, and helping reduce measurement variability through experiments and design of experiments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a quantitative field (Math/Data Science/Statistics, etc.).
• Minimum of 4 years in a similar role.
• Proficient in Python, R, SAS, JMP or similar.
• Understanding of probability, SPC, hypothesis testing, time series and regression.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle/MySQL/Access).

Responsibilities

• Independently data mine multiple large, complex datasets to answer research questions.
• Provide real-time data analysis support to manufacturing for process adjustments, material performance, investigations, and yield analysis.
• Strategically interpret statistical findings into a business context that matters.
• Offer consulting on data analysis and statistical tools for trend analysis, root cause analysis and data visualization.
• Support technical investigations within the manufacturing unit.
• Assist with introduction of analytical test methods and design of experiments to reduce variability.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to input design of experiments and analyze results.
• Lead multiple projects with stakeholders to define questions, timelines and objectives.
• Present statistical results clearly to diverse levels of personnel.
