Job summary

EirGrid is seeking a Senior Controller to join the Capacity Funding & Delivery team in Ireland. You will support market operations and the Renewable Energy Support Scheme (RESS) by preparing analyses and delivering robust business processes.

You’ll coordinate projects, ensure compliance with Grid/Market rules, and act as a subject matter expert across capacity funding initiatives. With a 4+ year track record in business, IT, or finance, you’ll engage stakeholders, manage multiple priorities, and

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification with 4+ years’ relevant experience.
• Experience coordinating delivery of key tasks within a team environment.
• Proven track record of stakeholder relationships.
• Good time management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communicator, both written and verbal.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable presenting to large groups.
• Familiarity with Ireland’s electricity market (I-SEM), Capacity Market and RESS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify operational risks and escalate to Manager/Head of Function.
• Resolve customer queries within defined KPIs; provide second‑line support.
• Conduct planned technical testing of internal systems after changes.
• Maintain records for internal/external audits.
• Liaise with suppliers, generators, regulators and government departments.
• Produce internal/external market data reports and present data.
• Coordinate colleague training and provide ongoing support to Controllers.
