Job summary

Gi Group in Dublin is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of major construction contracts from start to finish. This senior role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen and a solid understanding of contract management, with oversight of site teams, subcontractors and multiple projects.

You will ensure adherence to programme, quality and safety, manage contractual obligations, and collaborate with commercial and QS teams to optimise performance.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in construction management, engineering, or quantity surveying.
• Proven experience as Contracts Manager or senior construction management.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, delivery, and programming.
• Experience managing projects from start to finish.
• Understanding of contracts, obligations, and client needs.
• Commercial awareness and collaboration with QS teams.
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Health & safety knowledge and compliance with Irish legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
• Valid Safe Pass and related qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the delivery of construction projects from start to finish.
• Ensure obligations and specifications are understood and met.
• Monitor progress against programme, quality, commercial targets.
• Support site management teams to keep projects on track.
• Coordinate subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Allocate labour, plant, materials, and resources efficiently.
• Work with QS and commercial teams on performance and contracts.
• Identify issues and risks early and address delays.
• Maintain communication with clients, consultants, subs, and teams.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and company procedures.
• Promote safety, quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Delegate safety responsibilities to Site Management and ensure compliance.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project and site personnel.
• Manage multiple priorities to meet objectives and deadlines.
